This book has many pictures, so we can enjoy reading it. I was surprised at things that is written in chapter 2; Scotland today. “Scotland is a part of Britain, but don’t call them English!”. Everyone in Scotland speaks English but 60000 people speak Gaelic. For example, yes is aye, child is bairn, boy is lad. It is funny.

The chapter that appealed to me the most was Chapter 4; Some places to go. This chapter is written about Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral. I have been all of them. When I was reading this book, I remembered the days when I have been to London for study.  

And I would like to write about chapter 3; Visiting the city. If you have a chance to go to London, You have better take a London bus to travel. It’s cool. And there are black cabs in London. It looks like old fusion.

The chapter that appealed to me the most was Chapter 9: New York and New Yorkers. This chapter is written about things that we have to remember about New York. For example; Don’t carry a lot of money with you; Don’t travel on the subway alone at night; New York can be very hot in the middle of summer and very cold in the middle of winter. And my images of New York are New Yorkers look like always busy and many cars and buses stop and start.

Next, I would like to write about chapter 6; Shopping and eating. Girls must like shopping and eating. Fifth Avenue has some of the biggest names – Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Lord and Taylor, Gucci. Other famous shops are Bloomingdales on third Avenue and 57^th Street, and Macy’s on Broadway and 34^th Street. And in New York, there are lots of fast food shops to buy something to eat quickly. For example, pretzels, hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches. I want to eat a big hamburger in New York.

The end of this book, there is a picture of map of New York. You can see the shape of New York and you can know the name of cities and where is it.

We compared Longman with COBUILD. Longman is an English-Japanese dictionary. This dictionary is easy to use and has good page layout. And you can choose page layout yourself. The words that were searched flash on and off. Therefore the words caught our attention. And this dictionary has spinning wheel, so it's easy to search. The other one is an English-English-Japanese dictionary. (62)

This winter vacation, I had a great time. First, I went to Huis Ten Bosch where is in Nagasaki on Christmas Eve with my boy friend. We saw beautiful illuminations. We took many pictures of them. I want to go to there again!! I have a younger sister who is an elementary school child. I gave her 3DS for Christmas presents. And, I worked and worked as my part-time job while this vacation. My part-time job's place is a restaurant. It was opened last month, so we had a lot of things to remember. It was hard. But I will be able to get much money next month!! haha. At new year's eve, I and my boy friend went to his friend's house with his friends. We ate Sushi and Nabe. It was the first time to meet his friends, but they were kind to me. After we counted for new year, I visited a shrine for my first visit of the year to a shrine with them. I consult an oracle. Then I got Daikichi!!! So I think this year will be good for me. At new year's day, I went to my grand mother's home with my family. I really like my grand mother. She made many special dishes for us. After that, we went to Tosu outlet. We enjoyed shopping. Hello, I’m Chisato Matsumoto. I would like to talk about me, because I would like you to come to know me. From now, I am to talk about my family, treasure, hobby, special skills, favorite things, memory, and dream. If you know me, you may know my hidden character.

My name is Chisato, but everyone calls me Chiiko. I have been being called Chiiko by everyone since I was born, so actually I don’t know why I’m Chiiko. But I like my nickname. And my birthday is November 10th. I am a sophmore of Kumamoto Gakuen University and study English there.

We’re a family of five. I have a younger brother who is a high school student. My father manages a building company and my mother is owner of a bar and a tavern. My father is kind person. I am on good terms with him. My mother is stern person and she is a hard worker.

And I have a younger sister. Her name is Kanon. Her age is 10, so my sister and I are far apart in age. Therefore I think she is my daughter. I often go to downtown with her. She practices golf and her dream is to be a pro golfer.

My treasure is my dog. She is a toy poodle. We call the dog Berry. I have been having Berry since 6 years ago. She is an idol of my family. I don’t have time so, I can’t take her for a walk, but she always sleep in my room. She likes me.

And I have a boyfriend. He is very kind person. I have been going out with him for 2 years. He gave me this ring the year before last. And a painter made this picture of us last year. I like this picture!

My hobby are listening to music and watching DVDs. I often listen to American pop music on Youtube. I can learn the new words from American songs. And I watch American dramas. I want to tell you my favorite dramas.

Do you know these American dramas, gossip girl and pretty little liars?? I really like them. When I went to America, I found these drama’s books and bought them. I want to read all of them. Of Couse, when I was staying at America, I watched them in America.

And, also I like Korean pop. My favorite Korean pop group is Girl’s generation. Most girls like Korean boy’s group, but I like girl’s group. They are very beautiful. I like their dance. I could get the tickets, so I am to go to their concert next month. I can’t wait.

In my free time, I always read magazines about American singer and actress. I like this magazine, GOSSIP. I really like American, but I can’t know about them. The way that I can know is only magazines. Also I can know their news and I can see their pictures that were taken by paparazzi.

And especially I like Miley Cyrus. Do you know her?? She is not only a singer but also an actress. I and She is same age, but she has her self and she is cool. I respect her. If I didn’t know her, I would not study English. She is a person changed my life.

Next, my special skill is surging. Actually I couldn’t go to the beach for surfing recently, but I want to do. My father and brother are good at it, so I often go to the beach with them in Miyazaki. We have been surfing at Kagosima, Miyazaki, and Bali.

My favorite sweet is ice cream. These pictures are things that I ate. What flavor ice creams do you like?? I like green tea flavor and cookie and cream flavor. I recommend green tea ice cream of Haagen dazs.

And I work at a restaurant. I like service trade. And I think it matched me. This restaurant was opened last month. So there are a lot of things to remember, it was hard. Please come to my part-time job’s place for lunch or dinner!!

My best memory is to go to America last summer vacation, because I could spend valuable time. And before I go to America, one of my dreams is to go to America. I could make some American friends, so I was glad.

And they are my host family. I miss them now. They treated me like their daughter. And my host sister is so cute. She is adoption from Korea, so I could learn about adoption. I want to go to Minnesota again.

My favorite place I have been is Bali. Have you been there?? I went to there 6 years ago. It was first time to go to abroad. Bali’s beaches are beautiful and Bali has some nice viewings. I want to go to there again.

And these pictures are my friends of Eibei. They are so cute and very funny. I like them. I really like the time that I am talking with them at lunch time. They make me happy. Last Xmas we had a xmas party. It was very fun. I want to do it next xmas.

I don’t have an articulate dream for my future. But I would like to go to all over the world. I have been to America, England, Korea, Hong Kong, and Bali. I want to go to other places. And I would like to make friends.
