BR 2-33: Scotland

How much do you really know about this country of exciting cities, beautiful islands and wonderful mountains? Everybody knows about Scotch whisky, but this book looks a little further than the Scotland of visitors – at the real Scotland that lies underneath.
Scotland is a book in the Factfiles subseries of Oxford Bookworms. Factfiles is a nonfiction subseries, as you may know. This book has ten chapters, This is Scotland, Scotland today, Scotland’s past, Edinburgh, Glasgow, The Highlands, The Islands, Traditional Scotland, Eating and drinking, Scotland tomorrow.

This book has many pictures, so we can enjoy reading it. I was surprised at things that is written in chapter 2; Scotland today. “Scotland is a part of Britain, but don’t call them English!”. Everyone in Scotland speaks English but 60000 people speak Gaelic. For example, yes is aye, child is bairn, boy is lad. It is funny.
