My speed rose throughout the year.

Coming of age day.

It was coming of age day last monday. Actually, I didn't want to go there and I didn't look forward to the day. BUT!!!!! It was very funny and I could have a great time. In the morning, I went to a place and I was made nice hair style by hair stylist. And I wore Japanese traditional clothes, Furisode. Some people borrow the clothes for this day, but my parent's bought me them. It was so expensive. And I went to the ceremony with my boy friend. He wore nice suits. At there, I met many friends from elementary school, or high school. Of course I met Eibei girls. They are very beautiful. I took many pictures. After that, I went to downtown. We took memorial pictures. And I went to my grandmother's house. She said to me "You are beautiful!!". I was glad. I wanted to show to my grandfather. Then I felt tight, so I wanted to take off my clothes. I changed  to nice dress and went to down town with my boyfriend. I went to nice(183)

My favorite person

My favorite person is my younger sister. Her name is Kanon. She is 10 years old. So my sister and I are far apart in age. I treat her like my daughter. She has been practicing golf since she was 6 years old. She really likes golf. And she often talks to me about her dream. Her dream is becoming pro golfer. I hope her dream comes true. Last Christmas, I gave her 3DS as Christmas present. It was too expensive for me, but I could see her smile. My parents have jobs and I have to go to school and work as part time job, so she is often in our house with our dog. But she doesn’t complain about it. And she often helps housework. A few days ago, when I came back to my home, she was folding the laundry. I was surprised. I think she is a person of strange. (155)

My favorite function

My favorite function is my iPhone. Have you used it?? I have been having iPhone since I enter in this college. When I have free time, I play game by using it, or I use SNS like Facebook and Twitter. And I like taking pictures of friends and me, foods, and views. In my iPhone, there are process applications. I can make nice pictures, and I like post them on Facebook or Twitter. I recommend to you an application. It’s LINE. I’m sure that you know the application, because most people use it. We can send like e-mail, call, and play games. Also LINE has timeline that is a service like SNS. I think it’s useful. And we can know when the person read the message that I sent. Actually I think that's such a hassle, but some people think it’s good thing. I want to change my iPhone, because the screen was broken. I want to buy iPhon5(165)

My favorite Japanese traditional event is coming of age day. It was coming of age day last Monday. Before coming of age day, I didn’t think the best event is it. But I really had a great time on the day. So I liked this event. I wore Japanese traditional clothes. Some people didn’t buy the clothes, but my parents bought it to me. I was glad. In the ceremony, I was able to see many friends from elementary school, or high school. The girls were very beautiful. The boys wore nice suits, and they were cool. I liked my kimono, but it was hard to wear. It was tight. After the ceremony, I visited my grand mother’s house and I met her. She looks like glad. I was thinking that I want to change my clothes soon. We became adults. I think we have to be good adult. And we have to support Japan (156)

My favorite sport to watch

My favorite sport to watch is soccer, because soccer’s rule is very simple. Actually, I don’t know deeply about soccer. But I like to watch soccer games. When I was a junior high school student, there was world cup of soccer. Then I didn’t sleep and watched the game at midnight, and I over slept and I was late for school. And my younger brother has been practicing soccer since he was 3 years old. Therefore, I have many chances to watch the soccer games. And do you know Nadeshiko Japan? They are very cool. And Kumamoto has a soccer team, Roasso Kumamoto. I watched their game when I was high school student. Also they were cool. And in my high school, there was class match. Girls play basketball, and boys play soccer in winter. When the boys were playing soccer, they look like cool. Actually, I can’t play soccer. Just I like to watch, (156)

BR 2-33: Scotland

How much do you really know about this country of exciting cities, beautiful islands and wonderful mountains? Everybody knows about Scotch whisky, but this book looks a little further than the Scotland of visitors – at the real Scotland that lies underneath.
Scotland is a book in the Factfiles subseries of Oxford Bookworms. Factfiles is a nonfiction subseries, as you may know. This book has ten chapters, This is Scotland, Scotland today, Scotland’s past, Edinburgh, Glasgow, The Highlands, The Islands, Traditional Scotland, Eating and drinking, Scotland tomorrow.

This book has many pictures, so we can enjoy reading it. I was surprised at things that is written in chapter 2; Scotland today. “Scotland is a part of Britain, but don’t call them English!”. Everyone in Scotland speaks English but 60000 people speak Gaelic. For example, yes is aye, child is bairn, boy is lad. It is funny.

Flinders, S. (1995). Scotland. Oxford Bookworms, UK. (160)

BR 2-32: London

London – two thousand years of history. From the Romans and King Henry the Eighth to the city of today and tomorrow – and from St Paul’s Cathedral and Buckingham Palace to Petticoat Lane and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz club. The rich and exciting life of a great city – and some of the people who helped to make it.

London is a book in the Factfiles subseries of Oxford Bookworms. Factfiles is a nonfiction subseries, as you may know. This book has nine chapters, This is London!, In the beginning, Visiting the city, Somme places to go, Westminster, Shops and eating, Going out, Museums and galleries, Places and parades.

The chapter that appealed to me the most was Chapter 4; Some places to go. This chapter is written about Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral. I have been all of them. When I was reading this book, I remembered the days when I have been to London for study.

And I would like to write about chapter 3; Visiting the city. If you have a chance to go to London, You have better take a London bus to travel. It’s cool. And there are black cabs in London. It looks like old fusion.

Escott, J. (1995). London. Oxford Bookworms, UK. (222)

BR 2-31: NEW YORK

New York - The Big Apple. The history of the city and some of the things you can see and do there today – the skyscrapers and the subway, the shops and the sports, the museums and the restaurants – and the people themselves. All the things that make New York the most exciting city in the world!
New York is a book in the Factfiles subseries of Oxford Bookworms. Factfiles is a nonfiction subseries, as you may know. This book has nine chapters, The Big Apple, In the beginning, Visiting the city, Some places to go, Looking up!, Shopping and eating, Entertainment, We love parade, New York and New Yorkers.
The chapter that appealed to me the most was Chapter 9: New York and New Yorkers. This chapter is written about things that we have to remember about New York. For example; Don’t carry a lot of money with you; Don’t travel on the subway alone at night; New York can be very hot in the middle of summer and very cold in the middle of winter. And my images of New York are New Yorkers look like always busy and many cars and buses stop and start.
Next, I would like to write about chapter 6; Shopping and eating. Girls must like shopping and eating. Fifth Avenue has some of the biggest names – Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Lord and Taylor, Gucci. Other famous shops are Bloomingdales on third Avenue and 57th Street, and Macy’s on Broadway and 34th Street. And in New York, there are lots of fast food shops to buy something to eat quickly. For example, pretzels, hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches. I want to eat a big hamburger in New York.
The end of this book, there is a picture of map of New York. You can see the shape of New York and you can know the name of cities and where is it.

Dictionary

We compared Longman with COBUILD. Longman is an English-Japanese dictionary. This dictionary is easy to use and has good page layout. And you can choose page layout yourself. The words that were searched flash on and off. Therefore the words caught our attention. And this dictionary has spinning wheel, so it's easy to search. The other one is an English-English-Japanese dictionary. (62)

Winter vacation

Christmas eve
Huis ten bosch
Nagasaki
presents
my part-time job
new year's eve
my first visit of the year to a shine

This winter vacation, I had a great time. First, I went to Huis Ten Bosch where is in Nagasaki on Christmas Eve with my boy friend. We saw beautiful illuminations. We took many pictures of them. I want to go to there again!! I have a younger sister who is an elementary school child. I gave her 3DS for Christmas presents. And, I worked and worked as my part-time job while this vacation. My part-time job's place is a restaurant. It was opened last month, so we had a lot of things to remember. It was hard. But I will be able to get much money next month!! haha. At new year's eve, I and my boy friend went to his friend's house with his friends. We ate Sushi and Nabe. It was the first time to meet his friends, but they were kind to me. After we counted for new year, I visited a shrine for my first visit of the year to a shrine with them. I consult an oracle. Then I got Daikichi!!! So I think this year will be good for me. At new year's day, I went to my grand mother's home with my family. I really like my grand mother. She made many special dishes for us. After that, we went to Tosu outlet. We enjoyed shopping.
